Max's first ship, dubbed the "Hornet II" or simply "Hornet".

The Cockpit
Max's current starship, an aged MandalMotors M12-L Heavy Fighter. Dyed red and black, it has become a key weapon in Max's arsenal since before he joined the Imperial Army. Dubbed "Hornet II", Max used it in many of his earliest hunts and performing odd jobs for Jabba the Hutt's space expansion. The Hornet's A.I. system is very primitive and does only the simplest of tasks, such as increasing weaponry power, or diverting energy to the shields. When Max joined the Imperials, he kept the ship in a lockup hanger in Bestine. As Max's absence increased, vandals took this opprotunity to deface Max's ship. Although it seemed 100% functional upon return, it's many modifications have been wearing out very quickly, such as weapons not staying properly in their positions. As a result, Max must fork over more cash to go into it's maintainence.
The Hornet faces off with a group of hostiles.
One day after Max became increasingly successful and a well-known bounty hunter, his ship was destroyed by a band of Commerce Pirates on his way back to Tatooine. Max crash landed into the desert near Bestine. The only salvageable things from the now "Dead Hornet" were it's intact armor plates, several packs of proton torpedos, and his swoop bike "The Diablo" stored in the cargo hold.
